I grew up in a salon, literally. With a hairdresser mom, the sound of blow dryers and the smell of hairspray were as familiar to me as bedtime stories. I picked up a comb and scissors before I could spell my own name (I gave my first “haircut” at age three… sorry, Mom).

By the time I finished vocational high school in 2002, doing hair wasn’t just something I was good at, it felt like the place I belonged. After years of struggling with school, hair came easy.

After years of working for other people, 2015 was the year I decided to bet on myself. I launched Brittany Kate Hair and stepped into the world of independent styling, building my business with my rules.

Three years later, I bought the salon I was renting a chair in. That space became Moxie, modern, warm, inviting, and full of the kind of energy that makes people feel both at ease and a little bit unstoppable. It’s now home to a small but mighty team of stylists who create beautiful hair right beside me.

Today, I specialize in modern grey solutions, highlights, and balayage that fit real lifestyles, not hours of maintenance or unrealistic routines. I’ve always believed great hair should feel lived-in, effortless, and confidence-boosting.

And when I’m not behind the chair? I’m probably sipping a dark roast, listening to an audiobook, finding new adventures, homeschooling my 9-year-old son, or snuggling our two dogs.
