Hi I'm Brittany,

I grew up in a salon, literally. With a hairdresser mom, the sound of blow dryers and the smell of hairspray were as familiar to me as bedtime stories. She did a decent amount of hair in our kitchen and literally some nights I fell asleep listening to her with clients downstairs in our kitchen. I picked up a comb and scissors before I could spell my own name. I gave my first “haircut” at age three (Who left us alone with scissors?) and she's still a client to this day!

I finished vocational high school in 2002, doing hair wasn’t just something I was good at, it felt like the place I belonged. After years of struggling with school, this came easy.

After years of working for other people, 2015 was the year I decided to bet on myself. I launched Brittany Kate Hair and stepped into the world of being self employed renting a chair, building my business with my rules.

Three years later, I bought the salon I was renting a chair in. That space became Moxie, modern, warm, inviting, and full of the kind of energy that makes people feel both at ease and a little bit unstoppable. It’s now home to a small but mighty crew of stylists who create beautiful hair right beside me.

Today, I specialize in modern grey solutions, highlights, and balayage that fit real lifestyles, not hours of maintenance or unrealistic routines. I’ve always believed great hair should feel lived-in, effortless, and confidence-boosting.

And when I’m not behind the chair? I’ve got a coffee in hand with an audiobook in my ears. I love finding new outside adventures (Skiing in the winter, beaches in the summer!), online shopping, homeschooling my 9-year-old son, and being with our two old dogs.
