I'm thrilled that you've chosen me to work on your hair. We'll start your visit with a thorough consultation where we can discuss your goals for today and your long-term hair aspirations. Keep in mind that depending on your desired outcome, it may take more than one appointment to achieve. But don't worry,

I'll talk you through the entire process so you know exactly what to expect.

To ensure that your hair turns out exactly as you envision, let's discuss both what you like and what you don't like about the hair photos you've brought in. Once we're on the same page, I'll get started - but not before making sure that your hair's health and your happiness are my top priorities.

At Moxie, we take pride in our signature methods that guarantee your hair will look fabulous even between visits. Our color + highlight techniques are tailored to your specific needs, with a customized application, a gorgeous finishing gloss or treatment, and a blowout that comes with all the knowledge you'll need to recreate your new look at home.

Feel free to indulge in our selection of cold beverages, tea, coffee, candy, and snacks while you're here. During your appointment, we're here to chat if you'd like, but we also understand if you prefer to put in headphones, read a book, or even work on your laptop while we work our magic on your hair. And if you'd like a quiet appointment, just let me know – this is your time, and we're here to make it as comfortable as possible.

ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Sarah, My love for hair has been lifelong, but what truly sets me apart is how deeply I understand it. I’m obsessed with the science, how hair behaves, reacts, and stays healthy at a molecular level. Understanding the science behind hair allows me to create results that aren’t just beautiful, but healthy and sustainable. For me, great hair always starts with care.

I attended Assabet Valley Technical High School for cosmetology, became licensed at 17, and now spend my days behind the chair doing what I love most: creating hair that fits real life and helps people feel like themselves. I love vivid color, dimensional blonding (think highlights and balayage), grey coverage, and haircuts that grow out with ease.

Connection is at the heart of my work. I truly value the relationships I build with my clients and aim to create a calm, safe, and judgment-free space. With my quiet, understanding demeanor, people of all ages feel comfortable in my chair, whether you’re in the mood to chat or just enjoy some peaceful silence. I pride myself on reading and matching your energy, meeting you exactly where you are.

Clients often mention the little things that make a big difference: my luxurious scalp massage at the shampoo bowl, my perfectionist attention to detail, and the genuine care I bring to every service. I prioritize the health of your hair and your overall well-being, taking time to educate, guide, and support you throughout your hair journey.

Outside of the salon, you’ll usually find me curled up with my chihuahua, a blanket, and a good book or movie, probably with a candle warming and snacks nearby. I also love cooking or baking something cozy, painting, and unwinding with my favorite shows. That nurturing energy carries straight into my work, because for me, caring for hair is really about caring for people.

PREPARING FOR APPOINTMENT

Reminders are sent out 7 days prior through email and 26 hours before through text/email. If you have shut off Vagaro notifications you will not receive these. Please make sure they are on, if you need help turning them back on, just ask! Please arrive for your appointment with clean (Day old with a little product is ok!) dry hair. This insures we get the best possible outcome!

CONSULTATION

Feeling nervous to seek out a new stylist? Not sure if you will be really heard and understood? My first priority of every appointment is to take the time nailing down our end goals, wants/needs/concerns prior to starting any service. I will start by asking what our thoughts are going into the appointment and an overview of your hair history the past few years. I will ask for any inspo photos. I believe photos of what you DON'T want are equally as important as what you DO want. I will pick out each section of the photo to make sure we are seeing the same things. once we are on the same page, we will discuss the game plan: what will it take to get you this hair today.

PRICING

You can find pricing info listed here. My signature methods guarantee to make your hair look its very best even in-between visits. Color + highlight techniques are customized for each individual client completed with a stunning finishing gloss and blow-dry with knowledge to maintain and style your new look at home.

PARKING, LOCATION+ CONTACT

Our address is 260 Arlington St., Acton MA. Parking is located directly in front of the salon building. You can also find parking along Mass Ave located behind Moxie Beauty Co, along Central St heading North, and along Arlington St on the triangle. Parking is not permitted the the lot to the left or to the right of the salon building. Please arrive a few minutes early as parking can be tricky.
